Slow Cooker Ranch Pork Chops
Ingredients:
- 4 raw boneless pork chops (about 1 to 1½ pounds total)
- 1 (1-ounce) packet dry ranch dressing mix
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup milk
- Or water for a slightly lighter sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Slow Cooker
Lightly spray the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray or rub it with a little butter or oil. This helps prevent sticking and makes cleanup much easier.
Step 2: Arrange the Pork Chops
Place the raw pork chops in a single layer on the bottom of the slow cooker. It’s fine if they overlap slightly, but try to keep them mostly flat so they cook evenly and stay tender.
Step 3: Make the Ranch Sauce
In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ranch dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, and milk until smooth and well combined. This creamy mixture will become the flavorful sauce as the pork cooks.
Step 4: Add Sauce and Butter
Pour the ranch sauce evenly over the pork chops, making sure they are mostly covered. Scatter the small pieces of butter over the top of the sauce—this adds richness and helps the sauce turn silky as it cooks.
Step 5: Cook Low and Slow
Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook:
- LOW: 5–6 hours
- HIGH: 2½–3 hours
The pork chops are done when they are very tender and reach an internal temperature of at least 145°F (63°C). The sauce will thicken slightly during cooking.
Step 6: Rest and Serve
Gently stir the sauce around the pork chops. Let the pork rest in the warm sauce for about 5 minutes with the lid off. Serve hot, spooning plenty of creamy ranch sauce over each pork chop.
