Ingredients:
- 1 small cabbage, chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can diced tomatoes (15 oz)
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon bouillon powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Cook the Ground Beef:
- Place the ground beef in a large pan or large cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
- Break up the ground beef with a wooden spoon and cook until the meat is browned.
- Sauté Onions and Garlic:
- Move the ground meat to one side of the pan and add the chopped onions and garlic to the empty side.
- Cook the onions and garlic until they are fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add Tomatoes and Spices:
- Pour in the diced tomatoes along with their juice.
- Add the bouillon powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and salt.
- Stir everything together and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Simmer the Mixture:
- Reduce the heat to medium-high and simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Taste the mixture and adjust the salt and other seasonings as needed.
- Add Cabbage:
- Add the chopped cabbage to the pan and stir it into the beef and tomato mixture.
- Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve:
- Serve hot, and enjoy the comforting and robust flavors of this dish.
Enjoy!
