- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 3 eggs
- 4 tablespoons flour (60 g)
- 1 teaspoon salt (8 g)
- 1 teaspoon ground red pepper (4 g)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper (4 g)
To Fry:
- Vegetable oil
Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons yogurt (75 g)
- 2 sprigs of dill, chopped
- 1 cucumber, grated
- Red powdered pepper to taste
instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, cooked onions, and garlic. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add them to the cabbage mixture.
- Add the flour, salt, ground red pepper, and black pepper to the cabbage mixture. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Cook the Fritters:
- Heat a generous amount of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Scoop spoonfuls of the cabbage mixture into the skillet, flattening them slightly to form fritters.
- Fry the fritters for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Adjust the heat as necessary to avoid burning.
- Transfer the cooked fritters to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Prepare the Sauce: - In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, chopped dill, and grated cucumber. Mix well.
- Sprinkle with red powdered pepper to taste.
Serve:
- Serve the cabbage fritters warm with the yogurt sauce on the side.
- Serve these fritters as a side dish with grilled meats or fish.
- They also make a great vegetarian main course when paired with a hearty salad or some roasted vegetables.
