Diabetic Garlic Bread

Ingredients:

  • One loaf of Italian or French bread
  • one and a half sticks butter without salt, melted
  • minced garlic four cloves
  • minced parsley, 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • little about a quarter teaspoon of black pepper
  • (Optional) 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

instruction:

Warm Up the Oven:
  • Prepare the oven to bake to 375°F, or 190°C.
  • Start by making the garlic butter.
  • Put the melted butter, garlic, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley (if using) into a small bowl. Blend into a smooth mixture.
Let the Bread Rise:
  • Half the bread loaf lengthwise.
  • Evenly distribute the garlic butter mixture over the sliced bread.
Optional: Top with Cheese:
  • To garnish the garlic butter spread, if desired, top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Put the bread slices, cut sides up, on a baking sheet and bake the garlic bread for 20 minutes.
  • To get golden edges and bubbling melted butter, bake in a preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
