Diabetic Garlic Bread
Ingredients:
- One loaf of Italian or French bread
- one and a half sticks butter without salt, melted
- minced garlic four cloves
- minced parsley, 2 tablespoons (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- little about a quarter teaspoon of black pepper
- (Optional) 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
instruction:
Warm Up the Oven:
- Prepare the oven to bake to 375°F, or 190°C.
- Start by making the garlic butter.
- Put the melted butter, garlic, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley (if using) into a small bowl. Blend into a smooth mixture.
Let the Bread Rise:
- Half the bread loaf lengthwise.
- Evenly distribute the garlic butter mixture over the sliced bread.
Optional: Top with Cheese:
- To garnish the garlic butter spread, if desired, top with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Put the bread slices, cut sides up, on a baking sheet and bake the garlic bread for 20 minutes.
- To get golden edges and bubbling melted butter, bake in a preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
