Lemon Garlic Roasted Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients:

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 4 cloves garlic , minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon , juiced and zested
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper , to taste
Optional Garnishes:
  • Fresh parsley or thyme , chopped (for serving )
Suggested Sides:
  • Roasted vegetables (like carrots, potatoes, or Brussels sprouts )
  • Fresh green salad
  • Crusty bread (to soak up the juices )

 Instructions:

1 : Preheat the Oven
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) .
  2. Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or a light drizzle of olive oil to prevent sticking.
2: Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic , olive oil , lemon juice , lemon zest , dried oregano , salt , and pepper .

Step 3: Coat the Chicken

  • Place the chicken drumsticks in a large bowl or directly in the baking dish.
  • Pour the marinade over the drumsticks, ensuring they are evenly coated. Use your hands or tongs to rub the mixture into the chicken for maximum flavor.
Step 4: Roast the Chicken

Tip : For extra crispy skin, broil the drumsticks for the last 2–3 minutes of cooking, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.

Arrange the drumsticks in the prepared baking dish, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.

Roast in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes , or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) .
