Savory Breakfast Skillet
Ingredients:
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup steak, cut into cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or chives) for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Season the steak cubes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Add them to the skillet, searing until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and crack the eggs gently into the skillet, keeping them on one side.
- Cook the eggs until the whites are set and the yolks remain runny, about 3-4 minutes.
- Return the seared steak to the skillet alongside the eggs, letting them warm together for a minute.
- Garnish with fresh herbs for an extra burst of flavor and color.
