Savory Breakfast Skillet

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup steak, cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or chives) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Season the steak cubes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Add them to the skillet, searing until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and crack the eggs gently into the skillet, keeping them on one side.
  4. Cook the eggs until the whites are set and the yolks remain runny, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return the seared steak to the skillet alongside the eggs, letting them warm together for a minute.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs for an extra burst of flavor and color.
