Soft and Buttery Homemade Dinner Rolls
Ingredients:
- 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup (240ml) warm milk
- 1/4 cup (60g) butter, melted
- 1 egg
- Extra melted butter for brushing
Instructions:
Mix the Dough:
- In a large bowl, mix flour,yeast, and salt.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix well.
- Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth (use hands or a mixer).
Let the Dough Rise:
- Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise for 1-2 hours (until doubled in size).
Shape the Rolls:
- Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a smooth ball and place in a greased baking pan.
Second Rise:
- Cover and let rise again for 30-45 minutes (until puffy).
Bake:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter right after baking.
