Soft and Buttery Homemade Dinner Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (240ml) warm milk
  • 1/4 cup (60g) butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • Extra melted butter for brushing

Instructions:

Mix the Dough:
  • In a large bowl, mix flour,yeast, and salt.
  • Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix well.
  • Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth (use hands or a mixer).
Let the Dough Rise:
  • Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise for 1-2 hours (until doubled in size).
Shape the Rolls:
  • Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  • Roll each piece into a smooth ball and place in a greased baking pan.
Second Rise:
  • Cover and let rise again for 30-45 minutes (until puffy).
Bake:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Brush with melted butter right after baking.
