Homemade Tender Juicy Hotdog

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg ground chicken or beef (finely minced)
  • 1 cup ice-cold water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Method:

  1. Combine the ground meat with all the seasonings, flour, cornstarch, oil, and ice-cold water in a food processor until the mixture becomes smooth and sticky.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each into a hotdog log using plastic wrap or by rolling with lightly oiled hands.
  3. Steam the hotdogs for about 20–25 minutes or until fully cooked.
  4. Allow them to cool before removing the wrapping.
  5. Lightly pan-fry or grill until golden brown if desired.
  6. Serve in toasted buns with your favorite sauces and toppings.
