Slow cooker honey soy chicken
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 kilos of chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon of minced ginger
- 1/2 cup of honey
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons of water
instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger.
- Place the chicken thighs in a slow cooker, then pour the soy sauce-honey mixture over the top.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook over low heat for 5-6 hours, or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- In bowl, whisking cornstarch and water. Add the mixture to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Covering slow cooker again and cook over high heat for an additional 30 minutes, until the sauce thickens.

Where is the sesame oil used? I do not see it in the instructions.
