Slow Cooker Smoked Sausage

Servings 4 to 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced into rounds
  • 1 small head green cabbage, cored and chopped
  • 1½ lbs yellow or red potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1½ cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2–4 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Place the cubed potatoes evenly in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Add the chopped cabbage over the potatoes.
  3. Arrange the sliced smoked sausage evenly on top.
  4. Dot everything with the butter pieces, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Pour the chicken broth evenly over the ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours, or until the potatoes are fork-tender and the cabbage is tender.
  7. Gently stir everything together before serving.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
